The<\/span> Forillon Shipyard (CNF)<\/span><\/b> , in close collaboration with<\/span> Navanex<\/span><\/b> , has once again distinguished itself in the field of shipbuilding with the delivery of the<\/span> San Marco VII<\/span><\/b> . This multi-species fishing vessel, equipped with the most advanced technologies, raises the bar for quality with this new, highly optimized vessel designed by Navanex.<\/span> <\/p>

Pushing the boundaries with advanced technologies <\/strong><\/h4>

The San Marco VII project, launched in 2022, has been a stimulating adventure for the Navanex and CNF teams, who sought to innovate at every stage of design and construction.<\/span> Jean-David Samuel<\/span><\/b> , President and CEO of CNF, emphasizes that the innovations are not only visible in the improved hull shape and integrated stabilizers, but also in the optimized energy management, making the vessel more energy-efficient and therefore more environmentally friendly.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

All state-of-the-art systems required to preserve fish quality are on board, including liquid ice systems, refrigerated seawater systems, a large insulated hold with cooling plates, and insulated bins. These systems were developed to maximize catch freshness and improve operational efficiency. Everything was also designed to facilitate work on the fishing deck, making each task easier. In addition, crew safety and the organization of work and living spaces were carefully considered multiple times throughout the design phase. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

The development of the San Marco VII benefited from close collaboration with<\/span> P\u00eacheries Michel Turbide<\/span><\/b> , who actively participated in improving navigation performance and the fishing experience. The cooperation between CNF and P\u00eacheries Michel Turbide was a natural one, with the design team readily accepting most of the suggestions they wanted to make to optimize the vessel.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Marco Turbide<\/span><\/b> , owner of the fisheries based in the Magdalen Islands, expressed his satisfaction: “Working with the CNF team was an enriching experience, characterized by attentive listening and mutual trust.”<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

The San Marco VII stands out not only for its performance, but also for its thoughtful design, featuring refrigerated water holds for crab fishing and a sophisticated liquid ice production system to ensure optimal fish preservation.<\/span> Project manager Olivier Blais-Brousseau<\/span><\/b> states: “Every decision made during construction was geared towards innovation, thus enriching our knowledge for future projects.”<\/span> <\/span><\/p>
