Navanex is a company specialized in naval architecture and marine engineering. Located in the city of Gaspé, in collaboration with the Forillon Shipyard, the company stands out through its extensive knowledge of shipyard construction and its comprehensive client support. Navanex’s mission is to simplify naval architecture, imagine innovative vessels, and offer maritime engineering services to people of the sea.

As part of our expansion, we are looking for a technician who will play a key role within a young and dynamic team.

Your profile:

  • Diploma as a naval architecture technologist;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience;
  • Member in good standing of an engineering association in a Canadian province;
  • Good knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, Delftship or equivalent;
  • French proficiency 4/5 (spoken and written) and English proficiency 4/5 (spoken and written).

Your skills will lead you to:

  • Model innovative vessels in 3D and prepare assembly plans for various shipyards;
  • Assist clients in vessel design and support them throughout the construction of their projects;
  • Demonstrate rigor in technical drawings and documents submitted for approval to classification societies;
  • Show ingenuity and creativity in the design and integration of ship systems;
  • Understand and apply ship stability principles to produce stability analyses and weight estimates.
