22 Jan Navanex designs a new dredging barge for Dragage IM
An essential project to support port activities in the Magdalen Islands
[Gaspé, January 23, 2025] – Navanex, a marine engineering firm, announces the signing of a contract for the design of a dredging barge to be operated by Dragage IM, a subsidiary of CTMA, and built locally by Soudures Techn’îles, in the Magdalen Islands. The project is designed to meet the operational needs of marine dredging work in the archipelago region.
The barge, developed for dredging operations in complex maritime areas, will play a key role in maintaining the region’s waterways and ports. It will enable Dragage IM to carry out dredging work efficiently while considering the environmental and logistical constraints specific to the Magdalen Islands.
