87′ Multi-fishing Vessel – F/V Executioner

Mandate

Design a large 87′ x 27′ multi-fishing vessel specifically adapted for crab, shrimp and groundfish fishing.

Challenges

This vessel posed a design challenge of its own, as the client required a fishing machine capable of operating year-round. Intended to sail more than 200 miles off the coasts of Newfoundland and Labrador, this design had to be highly reliable and unequivocally stable to meet the rigours of the Atlantic Ocean.

Equipped with two seawater-cooled holds and a liquid ice system, this vessel continues to rack up the miles and be the maritime operational benchmark for multi-fish vessels. A second vessel was even built directly in Newfoundland.

Testimonial

« We sailed in 50 knots of wind with comfort. »
